Now in its 18th year, this symposium is respected as a top tier regional heart failure meeting and is endorsed by the Heart Failure Society of America (HFSA). Critical updates and thoughtful contemporary reviews delivered by national experts in the field, including recognized Northwestern faculty, have been the hallmark of this program. This year we will once again assemble leading cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurses, and psychologists with expertise in heart failure and cardiac surgery to provide updates on the very latest clinical, scientific, genetic, behavioral and technological advances for managing patients with heart failure.

The Heart Team Summit joins Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery faculty at Washington University, St. Louis, Ascension/St. Vincent in Indianapolis, and Northwestern University. This educational initiative was developed to provide a forum for discussing and presenting laboratory and clinical research concerning the care of patients through case based coronary and structural heart intervention cases. This initiative strives to help those treating cardiology patients with the latest updates.

Echo Northwestern is in its 44th year and is the longest running echo course in the United States! We are excited to bring the conference back live and in person! The course faculty consists of renowned physicians and sonographers from Northwestern and from around the United States. This course will provide physicians and sonographers at all levels with the knowledge and insight into the application of basic and advanced echocardiographic techniques. Topics include valvular heart disease, interventional echo, heart failure, contrast echo, 3D echo, diastology, stress echo, cardio-oncology and more. By the end of the course, participants will have improved skills that can be immediately applied to everyday practice as well as an understanding of future applications.

This continuing medical educational initiative provides a day and a half of presentations and interactive live activity developed and delivered by internationally recognized thought leaders in the field of atrial fibrillation. We will be using a hybrid format again this year hosting attendees in person along with providing a virtual platform to allow attendance for those that wish to join virtually. This year’s agenda will again consist of lectures and live panel discussions. There will also be concurrent breakout sessions under two tracks - Electrophysiology and Cardiac Surgery.
